My grandmother's title/heading with her name and birth and death has the wrong birth date. In her details, the birth date is correct. How can I fix that?

FamilySearch has a "dual-entry" system for dates and places: the displayed value does not necessarily have to be the same as the background value that tells the computer where to stick the map pin or what date to choose on the calendar. The display can have more detail than what's in the database, for example by including a street address or farm name. The Vitals box shows the display values, while the header shows the background values (called "standard" or "standardized" in FS parlance).

In order to allow this dual entry, editing the displayed text does not necessarily change the associated background value. This is sometimes not the desired result, as in your case.

To fix it, go to the profile's Details page and click the pencil (edit) button next to the birth or death. In the pop-up, click in the date or place box. If one of the background values (with a calendar or map pin icon) matches what you want to display (i.e., you don't have anything to add), then you can simply choose it from this drop-down. If the displayed text has extra information that you want to keep, then choose the reddish text at the top of this drop-down, then click the "v" below the box and choose the background value that you want to use.
