Faulty Indexing

I couldn't find a way to report faulty indexing. so here it is:

The Spain catholic church records Film # 004456410

The indexer is entering the date of the document and NOT the birth date or Baptism date of the person. The document is a proof that the person was baptized and not a actual baptism certificate. Acta para pruebo de bautismo

For example on page 2241, the document is dated on the 21st of November 1962 BUT the person was baptized in 22nd of February 1900

On page 2086 the document is dated 28th august 1959 BUT the date of the birth was 18 November 1899 and the baptism was 30 November 1899

People who only look at the indexing would reject such hints as not valid because of the dates.

I did not go through the whole film but it needs to be re-indexed

Sincerely

Sister Templeman

Modern - 20th century, post WWII - records which are not visible to the rest of us, to abide by European privacy regulations. In fact, they show as not being indexed at all.

The lack of magnifying glass icon in the catalog is due to the catalog not being updated since 2021. There are definitely index entries associated with that film (https://www.familysearch.org/search/record/results?q.filmNumber=4456410). I looked at an index entry, and the auto-generated citation gave a publication date in October of last year.

In my experience, FS never goes back to re-index anything, no matter how grave the errors. (Entire pages of godparents indexed as parents, or donations indexed as deaths, for example.) However, the new "correct anything" interface is slowly being rolled out, so maybe in a few years, this index will be correctable (by LDS members who can see the images, not by general public like me).
