What date to record for "US—Bureau of Land Management Tract Books" records?

Sometimes a message pops up saying to record the most recent date as long as it was cancelled. But then in the information on how to record the index it only says record the date of sale.

For example:

The date of Sale says Jan 9, 1909 but then it says F.C. June 20, 1912. (FC means final certificate). Which date do I record for the record?

You should record the date of sale since that is in the Project Instructions or field help. Just a guess, but, the FC is probably issued when everything is paid for and the title is presented.
