Looking for Austrian Immigrant Ancestors to Peru
If you please can help me to find records of August Nitterl, in Peru.
Attached is August Nitterl's death record: he passed away on February 22, 1947, in Huancavelica, Peru.
August Nitterl was the patriarch of the Nitterl family. They most pobably arrived in Peru between 1929 and 1930, or perhaps between 1927 and 1932.
August Nitterl and family were among the Austrian European settlers who arrived in Satipo, Peru between the years 1927 or 1929 and 1932.
They would have traveled aboard the ships "Orazio" and "Colombo", both belonging to the Navigazione Generali Italiana shipping company, arrived in Callao, stayed at the "Migrants Hotel" and then headed for the jungle border city of Satipo.
Note: In 1927, the first group of settlers arrived in the region to search for natural resources. These settlers were mostly Peruvian, but also contained Europeans from Austria, Germany, Hungary, Poland, Russia, Italy, and Spain.
Thanks,
Byll
