When are indexed records released

Hi,

I was wondering what the process is after records are indexed and reviewed.

Are the batches released to the Family Search records database so people can access them?

Are the batches released monthly, yearly or at a predetermined number?

Thanks

    It depends upon the contract with the collection owner/custodian. If FamilySearch contracted to make images available then yes - after post-indexing review the collection with index would be published to the website. I don't know that there is a scheduled time/release - just as soon as post-indexing processes are completed. There regularly is a blog article plus the Images site shows which unindexed images are being published (quite interesting to look at that in real -tine).

    Hope that helps a bit

    Thanks for this information. Where would I find the image site? I would really like to see this.

    Thanks.

    @JudyPorteous

    The site is the Search>Images menu item from the homepage:

    https://www.familysearch.org/records/images/beta

    The section:

    image.png

    shows the counter incrementing in/near real-time - and you can click the link to view the recently added images - quite interesting.
