Incentivize
Just a Community consideration.
Some make many contributions in Tree (My Contributions) or elsewhere in FamilySearch platform (Memories, Places, Indexing, Review Names, Help Center, Blog, etc.) but do not receive recognition here in FamilySearch Community. Yes, stats are generally kept in those locations (not Places) - but would it be advisable to include those in Community (with corresponding badges)?
I thought I'd ask a question rather than post an Idea this time. One reason behind the question - focus on rewarding actual (or all) work categories? I guess keeping separate is ok ... (and it may not be worth the hassle of integrating both together here in Community) but just thought I'd ask.

Great thought. We will definitely pass the idea along. As far as whether or not it would be worth it, I think it depends on what problem we are attempting to solve and how big of an impact it can have on other users. I can definitely see merit and some possibilities behind what you are suggesting, but, from your perspective, how do you feel connecting the user's site-wide participation with the community might benefit users? Through your eyes, what problem(s) will it solve?

(This is assuming I understand the OP's proposal correctly)
Public attention can be overwhelming for some. We may want users to opt-in to having their stats publicly displayed, similar to how we opt into Relationship Viewing.

It's great to see someone reviewing my posts (everyone needs an editor I guess - no I did not edit it May 24 - no one can do so 4 hours after posting content). The problem this idea deals with is fairly obvious - but no it would not benefit all users as demonstrated by No one in particular. Generally this Idea points out that Community is separate from other FamilySearch webapp stats (Tree in particular). If Tree activity is not included in Community - then those stats remain personal ...
In my eyes it would just centralize those stats in one location rather than divide them amongst several - and therefore might allow users to see the impact their contributions have more easily (and possibly incentivize such contribution 'more appropriately' - a different can). But as I mentioned perhaps it would 'not be worth it'.

What might be useful is posting stats Ancestry-style.
I'm imagining 3 stats are attached to our profiles and they discretely show up on a hover or profile view or something. It might help us gauge how experienced a member is when considering their question or asking them for help.
Something similar may be useful on FS as well. When we reach out to someone, the context of their experience might help us formulate what we say.
Idea(s) I discarded - Leaderboards:
If we had a public, 'everyone' board here, I think we'd check out the seldom-changing names at the top and then find our own (much lower) position and move on. I also suspect we may feel discouraged if the top spots were populated by less careful contributors.
I considered more targeted boards - like a board of people proximate to a Family History Center. Still, the thing about leaderboards is that they're designed to establish winners & losers - and folks who struggle with competitiveness (not admitting that!) might become focused in amping up their stats.
