    How do I simply correct a name on the pedigree chart? I am new to this site and I accidently entered my mother-in-law as her mother. I need to correct my mother-in-law's mother's name.

    You can either respond here or message me.

    Thank you.

    To correct a name, go to the person's Detail page and click on the pencil icon next to the name;

    Moving over the right spot turn the clickable area grey and if you sit there for a couple of seconds brings up the tool tip.

    Have you mainly been working from one of the pedigree charts? You can add people on those, but to really work on the person, including editing information, you have to be on the Details tab.
