Cannot open any person’s page
I am accessing Family Search through the Safari browser on my iphone 6. I cannot use an app because my phone has ios 12 and can’t be upgraded.
After the most recent update by FS I cannot open any person’s profile. I can log in, search for a person, click on their name, then it shows a blank page and never moves.

If your phone will not upgrade past iOS 12 then your phone's version of Safari has probably reached the point not be being upgradeable, also. Browsers do reach an end of life as improvements go beyond what older hardware can handle. Do check your setting to see if you can apply a Safari update, but I suspect there won't be one.
Several people on these boards have posted that they can no longer get Safari version 13 to work with FamilySearch on their computers. FamilySearch only supports the current version of Safari and the most previous version. For computers that is Safari 16 and 15. Changes in web technology and most importantly web security is why the older browser cannot be supported.

Hi Kristin - Welcome to FamilySearch Community and asking your question about the person page on your phone. Two things, we would suggest you load google chrome and/or MS Edge on your phone and access FamilySearch with one of those browser. You might also check to make sure your Safari is up to date. Hope this helps.

I had the same problem last week - Safari on an ipad - but after a couple of days it all started working again. No deliberate changes at my end.

My iPhone 6 will not update past the current version of ios 12. My Chrome and Safari are out of date. A new cell phone at some point in the future is probably the only solution. It worked in Safari before the most recent Family Search update.
I am used to looking things up quickly on FS on my phone but will have to get used to only getting on FS when I have time to use to my home desktop computer.

@Kristin Nama, I failed Phone, so take this with skepticism, but to the best of my understanding, websites are OS-agnostic: they only care about your browser. Now, your OS has a say in what browser versions will or will not work on your device, so you may not be able to update Safari as far as you need, but have you tried? (I have no idea how to go about doing that, but hopefully it's somewhere in Settings?)
Even if Safari can't be made to work, you may be able to get Chrome updated further: its updates may be less closely tied to the iOS version. Again, I don't know the specifics, sorry.
Or (as a last resort for me, 'cause I'm allergic to the species), doesn't FS have an app? Or is it also balking at your OS version?

I understand where you are coming from but it is all the same problem. I have an iPhone 6. It works quite well for taking photos and decent enough for some other things. It cannot be updated past the current version of IOS 12.
The FS app, updated versions of Chrome, Safari, etc. all require a later version of IOS such as 13, 14, or 15.
I access FS through my Safari app on my phone which worked pretty well until the last FS update and now I can look up a person and click on their name but then it freezes and will not go any further. That seems to be a glitch. Sometimes when things get broken like that, the programmers fix it. If I am the only one with the problem I can see it would be unreasonable to hope they would fix it.
It puts a real damper on discussions about local history and genealogy when I can only use FS when I am sitting in front of my desktop computer at home or at the library.

This seems to be the heart of the matter. Until I can work a newer cell phone capable of uploading and using the latest browser or FS app into my life, I am out of the Family Search game when I am out and about away from home desktop.
