Problem with name transcribed wrong
Hi, I had a record recommended to me to attach to someone in my tree. It is a marriage record and in the transcript of it (and so also in the written spouse spot on Family Search) they have who he married wrong. It should be Fanny Broadwell and they have it as Fanny Broadfield (in the transcription. It is clearly Broadwell on the old document that is there as an image. How can I get this corrected? It appears to be their correct marriage contract, but I don't want to attach it t him with the wrong spouse name and not be able to also attach it to her (the correct spouse). Thanks! This is the transcription and I'll attach the document photo. It is the lower left hand side one. Joseph Rice marrying Fanny Broadwell. "Kentucky, County Marriages, 1797-1954," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QKJS-ZHBD : 9 March 2021), Joseph Rice and Fanny Broadfield, 17 Nov 1809; citing Marriage, Warren, Kentucky, United States, various county clerks and county courts, Kentucky; FHL microfilm 164,007."

Hi Kathy
It is possible to edit and correct the transcription. Click on the EDIT button (in the black banner towards top of page). Enter Wrong in Document as the reason.

It's not the Wrong in Document option you want to use. It is correct in the document, but it has been indexed incorrectly. That is the option to use.

Thank you, Anne. I put in the edit.
Aine, I had said it was correct in the document in my original question. Hopefully it'll be fixed soon.
