1901 British Census

Is there any way to find out what the correction codes made by the enumerators in the 1901 British Census mean?

Referring to "Evelyn A Sheldrick." Age says 1 in the original but there seems to be a correction code (9) and another (21). Evelyn is male, single but I believe he might be the son of Percy, directly above his entry. The mother Elizabeth was widowed in 1875 and was 54 in this census, most unlikely to be the mother of Evelyn. (And Evelyn was a male name in the 19th century)

Your help is most appreciated.

Hi @RussellDebbie1 I contacted an acquaintance, a professional genealogist who specializes in English records, and I was reliably informed that is not a code with a specific meaning. He believes that is not a 9. It may have meant something to the particular staff member who evaluated the householder's submission, but it's not something that has survived for us to see.

Specifically, he said " there's no precedent for an enumerator (or anyone else for that matter) making any notes about why they've changed anything. "

Sorry not to have better information.

Echoing Aine's reply, and, thankfully, both FindMyPast and FamilySearch have Evelyn A 's record indexed correctly.
