the tree symbol connects to the wrong person
When I look at a list of results, there is both a tree symbol to the right and the 'transcript' symbol. The transcript is the correct record but clicking the tree symbol connects to a different name and the original person is not to be found on that tree. So, how to report this error of linking?? Search details for Scotland Marriages: I entered her name: Margaret Fife, dates 1822-1822 and spouse John Black (entered nothing else) You should see her at the top of the results list (pasted below). Clicking the tree symbol comes up with Margarey Fife (a different person)- because Margaret Fife Black (verified by children's baptisms in 1815, 1816, and 1821, same place as marriage to John Black) - moved to England with spouse/children, never lived in the USA (she appears in UK censuses with husband/daughters). How can I report this kind of linking error?
Thank you very much, Pam

To be sure I understand your question, @Pam Spooner -
The Margaret Fife link in your post goes to a record of the marriage of Margaret Fife and John Black.
On the right, we see that record had been attached to the profile of "Margarey Fife" profile L6R1-TK6.
Are you saying that the record is not attached to the correct person? If so, that is something you - or any contributor - can change/correct. The FSFT (FamilySearch Family Tree) is fully open-edit and collaborative.

yes, that's the Margarey in question,
'My' Margaret's record is erroneously attached to Margarey's tree
I fiddled around and finally saw the bottom right of the screen, the instructions that you can add/detach records. But then when the next screen popped up, I tried to detach Margaret but don't know whether I did or not correctly!
I wish I could have found a step-by-step instruction on how to deal with that screen that has the 'tree individuals' on the right and the options of 'compare' and 'detach'......
Thanks for your patience. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has struggled with this.
Pam

I think I finally got 'my' Margaret off that other tree! this is Definitely not an intuitive procedure and should be addressed in the general FAQ's.
Thanks for listening!

thank you Áine, as I suspected it's all up to the words you search for in the Help documents. I did not search 'delete sources'. I was thinking 'wrong family tree' etc. Thanks again, p
