why a notification disappeared
I had an email notification Feb. 23rd about a person I was related to, as did my sister who also has a family search account and received the same email. My sister texted yesterday to see if I saw an email about a new relation discovered. I did not get the email and when I logged into my account, the February 23rd notification about that relation is no longer there. can anyone explain what happened?

The notification likely disappeared because it had some sort of expiration date on it. All of those notifications are based on Discovery Activities and according to this Knowledge Article:
If you do not see the notification that you are looking for, search for it at https://www.familysearch.org/discovery/.
