Have you refreshed the page?

Thank you for contacting me. Yes, I left the page and came back. I tried again a day, and days later. Some never go away. Most disappear but a few seems to linger on.

Hmm. Are you certain that it's the same hint(s)? What happens if you click "Review and Attach" again?

The space to put the reason why your attaching, and the attach button is not there anymore.
You go into review, but there is not a way to attach it.

Are all of the boxes in Source Linker green (attached), or are some of them still white (unattached)?
A new batch of indexing relevant to my family was published around mid-month, so I've been spending several hours each day reviewing and attaching hints, and I have not experienced any hints that persisted after attachment or dismissal.

Can you post a screen shot of what you are seeing? Or the Family Tree ID of one of these pages where the hint will not vanish? That will be necessary to see what is really going on.

They are green in the source linker.
Here is one of the several that does not go away. There are misspellings, but I run into that with several sources.
Herman Rumink
Michigan Births and Christenings, 1775-1995
Herman Reimink
Male
August 1857 – 11 July 1929

All I see is this:
A single hint that has not been attached yet to this Herman and his. Looking in the source linker, it is attached to someone else. Are those people duplicates of your Herman, wife, and child? If so you have some merging to do. If not, you should mark the record as Not A Match.
In any event, if you see more than the one hint and the other hints are attached, then try the usual: Make sure your operating system and browser are up to date, clear cookies and cache, restart your computer.

Thank you. I just dismissed the suggestions and got rid of them even though they are a match.
I'm all good here. When they do not go away, I will just dismiss them. Thank you. Just dismissed 3 for various ancestors.

Ah! Notice that only the left-hand side is green. The right-hand side is white. This is because the index entry has already been attached, but not to "your" Herman.
This record isn't persisting after being attached to this profile. It has never been attached to this profile. It's attached to a different profile.
Why such an already-attached record is still in the hinting system, I cannot answer, but is it possible that the hinting system has found a duplicate that the "possible duplicates" routine has missed for some reason?

Thank you. Must be a clinch in the system. I thought I already attached it. I had 4-6 more today.
