Irish Marriage Records, or any Catholic Latin Records
I have encountered the phrase "disp. in bannis" which I have researched and found to mean "administered in Banner". I believe this is referring to witnesses and maybe the bishop who officiated the marriage, which may also be indicated by a "W." before one of the names in the following listing. Also, this following website has been much more helpful to me than the Wikipedia one provided, which is still appreciated. Here is the website to which I am referring: https://www.irish-genealogy-toolkit.com/latin-irish-parish-registers.html
I hope this helps!
