Error When Adding Deceased Spouse to Living Person

I have been advised of the recent death of the spouse of a living relative. I have tried to add him to her person page with the appropriate birth and death dates. I receive this error "Save failed. You are trying to create a relationship between a living person and a deceased person who died more than 150 years ago." Obviously, this is not true as the death date I entered is 2020. Any ideas why the system is giving me this error? Thanks.

Double-check the year you entered. Sometimes the system seems to anticipate the year and selects a standard that is not what you intended. 2020 may have been captured as 202, for example. I've had that happen a few times.

Well I figured something out but not sure why it's happening. Here 'tis.

    1. I tried to create person by inputting all the vital information. I DID have a typo in the year 0202 instead of 2020.
    2. The system gave me the error message but I discovered later that the person was created.
    3. I look at the new person's page and the death date under the name at the top is 0202 but the death date shown under the vitals section is 2020.

I would think the dates should be the same but they are not. I went in and reentered the date in the vitals section and that corrected the issue.

    Thanks.

Yes, I thought of that. The date is correct. I tried to add him several times with the same results. Thanks.

@BrianBean, if you hover over the death date, what does the tooltip say? That background ("standardized") value is what is used in calculations.
