I have a person I am working with. She wants to and a second husband to her mother, but she does not want the name of her father (1st husband) to show on the tree. Can I enter a 2nd husband without a first? Eventually, she wants to be sealed to her maternal grandparents.

Yes, you can enter a second husband without a first.

If the child had a step relationship with the second husband, you can also add that, and if you want to connect the first husband's parents and so on, you can create a placeholder for him -- or just enter him as living, which will render him invisible to everyone besides the account that entered him.
