How do I replace a person that the site won't allow me to replace?

When I began my tree, I accidently put in my maternal grandmothers middle name wrong. The site filled in the tree with a completely different family tree. I have since corrected the middle name, added in the proper birth and death years along with birth and death places. I was able to delete the person that was filled in to be her father but I cannot replace or delete the wrong mother or that tree. What can I do to add the proper maternal great grandparents.?
