Your link is wrong - or someone totally misread the book - https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1

This is listed in your index as a baptism.

supposed to be a baptism - 14 Apr 1771.

Schneider - father Andreas, mother ?Beecke?

I checked multiple pages.

the whole book is about burials. The link is nothing at all related to the item listed in your index.

Really?? How difficult would it be to actually check these things???

The link is incomplete, so I can't look at the specifics, but it unfortunately happens that typos or other mistakes creep into the metadata, and then the automated processes that create the image-to-index associations have no chance of getting it right. It most often affects older indexes, which long predate the digitization and online availability of the records.

You can try to track down the correct image using the Catalog. Start with the film or digital image group number (which should be under Document Information of the index detail page); if that's for the correct place but the wrong events, see if the correct events are on another film in the same catalog entry. If the film is not for the correct place, then search the catalog for the correct one and go from there.

    Here is the URL https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QPNR-FRHS

If the entire film is mischaracterized, you can report the catalog error to books@familysearch.org

Thank you. If I go back to it I will send a message to books@familysearch.org.

I actually found a second one last night - same issue.

The film from the link posted by Aine is 105489254, but this number does not show up when searching the Catalog.

I thought all microfilms should be in the Catalog.

The catalog has been locked for some 18 months. This collection only dates from Dec 2022.
