    @Helen Cromar just to clarify...are you wanting two tabs open side by side on the same moniter?

    This is a function of your operating system and BROWSER and not a function of FamilySearch per se.

    you should be able to easily find videos on YOUTUBE that discuss how to do this.

    for example:

    This wasn't helpful. I still don't know how to have 2 different pages open at the same time for comparison.

    @Helen Cromar

    What device, Operating System and browser are you using please?

    For example - laptop, Windows 11, Google Chrome or Ipad, iOS, Safari.

    The difference in device, system and browser may make a difference to the suggested solution for how to open two browser or app windows (if possible) side by side so you can compare.

    If you have the address/URL of two pages you want to compare - what are those addresses please?

    Here is how you do this in Safari and most other browsers. This is just a standard browser function.

    Go to your browser's main menu bar and choose New Window:

    Then manually resize the windows and put them side by side:

    Then just click back and forth between as you wish.

    Hope all this feedback is helpful. If you still struggle with how to do it - I suggest sitting with a close family member/friend/neighbor who can step you through the process one step at a time.

    as all have stated - this is not really a finction of FamilySearch per se - its simply an option built into the Browser and Operating System that virtually any computer can do on virtually any site.

    are you using a computer? or maybe an IPad or smart device? - as already pointed out - it can differ from one device type to another.
