How do I see records for a great grandparent who I think is mistakenly entered by your contributors?

L1BF-21Y - Effie Eva Brady. The information about her is incorrect. Her birth year is either 1881 or 1883, based on Census Records. Also, based on Census Records, she was born in Indiana.

The 1880 Census does not show her in the family, but the 1900 Census shows her siblings in the Family of Bernard Lee Brady and his wife Susan, who I think is Susan McNellis.

Howard E. Brady and Lewella B. Huntington, who you show as the parents of Effie Eva Brady, spent all of their lives in Illinois and did not live in Indiana, particularly in the 1880s or 1890s.

I have reviewed the 1900 census information you provided for Effie Eva Brady (L1BF-21Y), and it shows that she was born and resided in Illinois at that census. However, the records that I have for the 1900 census show my real grandmother, Effie, married to her first husband, Louis Langhoff, which is correct.

How can this be corrected?

The FamilySearch tree is open-edit. Anyone with information can edit/add/change/correct any profile.

I see that the profile indicates whe lived in Illinois. You can click the name of the contributors, on that profile, and send a private message to discuss, if you wish.

Many Cook County (Chicago) vital records can be viewed at any Affiliate Library.

Check out this profile LT8C-X2R I believe you have a same name situation and this profile matches the spouse you mentioned. I would remove the wrong parents from L1BF-21Y and merge them with the correct parents of the LT8C-X2R and that would clean up the records. Fix both Effies to they do not get confused in the future.

As I have worked to find the vital records for this family, at my local FSC, I have noticed that there are several duplicate profiles. There are at least 2 for Effie and at least 2 for her 1st husband.
