Ancestor has duplicate child in tree view
In the Tree view, my great-grandfather Thomas appears twice as a son of my great-great-grandmother Elizabeth.
The entries are identical - Thomas has the same portrait, the same wife and the same descendants down the line to me, and all with the same IDs in each set.
However, in my great-great-grandmother Elizabeth's Person page, he appears only once.
Should I fix the duplication (Is that possible and if so, how?), or should I just leave things alone in the hope that it will fix itself?
I closed and reopened Chrome, but that fixed nothing, so then I rebooted my laptop, in case there was a lingering glitch, but the problem is still there.
Thanks in advance for any advice

I would think that if you take a closer look there will be two different IDs for Elizabeth and that is why Thomas is only appearing once on the page for the Elizabeth you are looking at. If this is the case, you will need to merge the two IDs for Elizabeth and the problem will disappear. But take care when carrying out the merge as the "other Elizabeth" might have different / unrelated individuals attached. So make sure to carefully examine the pages for each of the IDs of Elizabeth before starting any merge process.

In addition to Paul's suggestion, there may also be a duplicate connection of the same PID number. That will happen sometimes when profiles have been merged.
If you want to share the profiles, it's easier to help with specifics.

Dear Paul and Aine,
The problem seems to have been resolved without my intervention! Not sure how - possibly changes I made took time to propagate - but thank you both very much for taking the time to respond.
