Jan Blonk.jpg

Wrong info in the record. A man has a man as a husband. I keep getting offered the record and would like it gone. It is also not possible to change this data or specify it to change.

If you follow the link to openarch.nl, you'll see that their index has the "spouse" as the son of the deceased -- but I think that's also wrong, because while I don't know Dutch, it's similar enough to German that I'm pretty sure that the deceased is the son, and Jan Tijmonsz Blonk is the deceased's father.

The profile offered up by Search - Records (and Source Linker) for Jan Blonk is therefore actually correct. It's just the other person in the index (the "spouse") whose attachment will involve some argument with Source Linker, via the Change drop-downs on both sides.

In other words, ignore the incorrect relationship. You can still use the index to attach the source to the correct profiles. (Indexes are not data. They're just finding aids for the data.)

Thank you Julia for your comment. I will submit the issue to Openarch. They can adjust it. What I find annoying is that this record remains in my todo list😃.
