The 1950 census was indexed so quickly. Now that I am attaching records to relatives, I am finding so many errors. eg; extra persons that aren't in the family but living next door, family members not indexed, etc. There isn't a way to suggest corrections or make notes for those who follow. At least the record is available and information can be viewed. I appreciate the efforts of so many people.

How do I submit a correction for the 1950 census for my family?

All of the problems with the 1950 census index that are mentioned in this post can be corrected by you. We have several Help Center articles that detail the editing process. These deal with fixing family groupings:

How do I correct or add a relationship when the name appears on a different image of the record?

How do I add a name to a relationship in historical records when the name is currently connected to the wrong record?

How do I correct relationships in the transcription of a historical record?

Here is the general article that gives the steps for editing the 1950 census:

New Records Page: How do I edit data that has been incorrectly transcribed or indexed?
