In the 1870 Danish Census records there is a column regarding religious affiliation. Under this heading, a denomination is often filled out for heads of household, but undernearth (in the same column) is a word used for other family members that may suggest the same denomination. The word looks like Sv or an So, or Lv or something. What does this repeated symbol represent?

If you're talking about entries like what's in the middle columns of this randomly-found page, those are dᵒ meaning "ditto": same as above.
