How do I correct the death date ?

I am working on a person, Roy Carey Mason (1881-1973): 9D48-CF7

I entered the death date manually by editing that field, based on a photo of his gravestone. I entered: 1973.

But now, in the title, it shows this:

Roy Carey Mason

1881 – 0197

I have no idea where it got "0197", but now I don't know how to fix it, and the automation is complaining that his death date is before his birthdate.

What to do ?

I see it correctly from my side. Have you tried refreshing, or closing the tab and finding him again in your recents?

It looks like the standardization process lagged a bit behind your typing, and your display value of 1973 got associated with a background ("standardized") value of 0197.

To fix it, click "Edit" or the pencil (depending on which layout you're using), click in the date field and type something (such as a space), then choose the "1973" with the calendar icon next to it from the drop-down.
