I asked about the town Madlana Wyss came from and I didn't realize you in Switzerland can't see the films. I have scanned the page and attached it.
We here in the states can view Bern Canton films so please let us help.

Hello Pam - I hope you don't mind if I (partially) quote from my previous post …
"BTW - I had proposed a structure for discussion titles on https://community.familysearch.org/de/discussion/129680/what-title-would-be-best-for-postings and hope for many opinions: what do you think about this? Alternatively you could just adopt this format in your future postings 😉."
The title of your present post could e.g. have been Oberwil - marriage - Year (which I don't know) - Stauffer&Wyss - bride's origin.
"Films from canton Bern cannot be viewed from home (at least not in Switzerland)."
Do you imply that you (in the USA) can view Bern films from home? I always was given the impression you have to visit a Family History Centre (which is the situation in Switzerland).
"There are two options:
1) You download the page and post this here - see https://community.familysearch.org/de/discussion/comment/458272/#Comment_458272."
… which states "The optimal solution is to download the entire page, …" as this may be vital to decipher difficult writing, especially with names and locations. Which brings me to your question: I read Walt… - this is an abbreviation. There are several places "Walt…" in Bern or surrounding cantons - unfortunately, none is listed as hometown for Wyss in the Register of Swiss Surnames (which often helps to determine such locations). Which brings me finally to
"2) In addition to parish (rather than a film number) and info on the names you give the date of the marriage: Bern records can be viewed at the Bern State Archive site - with inferior quality, but many are sufficient to read them."
Being able to view the entire (and neighbouring) page(s) - even files from the Bern State Archive - might solve the problem … but for this I would need to know the date of the marriage.

I had asked other people's opinion on https://www.geneal-forum.com/phpbb/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=7005#p120428. As solution suggested was Waltwil, a hamlet in the parish of Wengi bei Büren. This is quite plausible, as Wyss have been citizens of Wengi since before 1800.
