I am getting hints to attach records to individuals in my tree. The records are correct, but whoever indexed them misread the names, so that they have used common names for my family's very uncommon names. How do I fix this?

@barbaraannewyly1, that depends almost entirely on the specifics: some fields of some indexes on FamilySearch are user-editable, others are not.

If the index is editable, then the "Edit" button will be active in the middle of the black strip at the top of the individual index entry page.

If the index is not editable, then you can console yourself with the fact that despite the errors, the index served its purpose perfectly: you found the records.
