What do you think? Nannie P Simpson G37K-CKF and Nancy Pearl Simpson - LB6W-KND (they are listed in the same family) I'm seeing 3 different birthdates 1905, 1908 and 1910. I know children were born, died and then next renamed the same name - but I think these two are the same person. Take a look at the California death index and the Social Security Death Index. Thanks for you help!

I would say yes. They are the same person, there is just the difference in birth year but you have evidence of the 1909 born Nancy with her parents names. I reviewed the sources and checked Ancestry sources too. Also I found marriage records where Nannie is used as name for the 1909 Nancy and other evidence that helps me conclude yes I believe they would be the same Nancy.

In looking at the records for this family, it is a good idea to look at the Family Group Sheet. When you are looking at the father's record, click down under Print on Family. You will see that there are two children listed, both born in 1908. Forrest was born 28 Mar 1908, and Nancy Pearl was born 28 Aug 1908. This is not possible. The date for Nancy is in question. One of the sources you provided gives her birth date as 28 Aug 1905. It looks like the sources that give her birth in 1908 are in error. You could merge the two records, and end up with the birthdate for Nancy as 28 Aug 1905.

Thank you. I was a little nervous to do the merge on my own.
