    Looking at your batch, I would guess that it refers to witnesses or sponsors. They all come after the parents.

    I would say Patricuum is the son of Martin Roach and A Mahon

    Mar 7 Cath A ex Thos Mullay et Cath Lasery

    The meaning of the double p is to make the abbreviated word plural, and it stands for godparents, in Latin. Sometimes you will a double s, meaning sponsors, which is the same thing.
