Gedcom uploading
File uploaded and then I see "can't process data" or something similar.
No descriptive error messages. Where do you start to find out what is in the wrong format?

What program did you use to create the gedcom file?
How many records are in it?
Have you checked again since the upload? How long a gap?

Thanks for answering.
I used Family Historian V6.0.
There are 1416 individual records and 502 family records in it.
Tried uploading several times over 2 days.

Biggish file but should be okay.
Unclear what the problem is.
I suggest you try the following:
- You say that you have tried over several days. Have you turned your computer off in between? If not then reboot.
- Try using a different browser
- Check that your browser is up-to-date (eg. for Chrome, click on the three vertical dots on the far right, click help, click About Google Chrome)
- Clear FamilySearch cookies - go to https://www.familysearch.org/cookies
- If all of the above do not work, try clearing all of your temporary files and cookies in your browser (for Chrome this is the 3 dots again, Settings, Security & Privacy, Clear browsing data).
- Try importing your gedcom file into another program, e.g. Rootsmagic or Ancestral Quest (free versions of both are available). Assuming no problems, export from that program and try uploading that file.

OK thanks. Legacy fell over when I tried to import the file. It must be corrupted. :(

Glad to hear it is working.
Now that your file is uploaded, please exercise extreme caution if you are planning to use the Compare function to transfer names into Family Tree. There are many comments about this in Community. Suffice it to say that, currently (although I have not re-tested it for a little while) the system is very poor at identifying possible duplicates. So adding names will often create even more duplicates. Depending on what part of the world your ancestors came from, it is a fair bet that a large percentage of ancestors born before around 1850 will already be in the system.

Isn't Legacy capable of synchronizing profiles with FamilySearch Family Tree?

Yes, Legacy is certified to work with the FSFT and runs a matching program to verify if the profile already exists in the FSFT.
