Whilst I hope you get this issue sorted (still many issues to resolve regarding 1950 census indexing, I understand), please spare a thought for those of us researching England & Wales records. The census records here are indexed according to page / folio number, so any member of the family who appears on the next page to the others will never be classed as part of that family unit. In fact, the individual at the top of the page usually gets designated as "Head" of the family, even if they are an infant!
You are also very fortunate to have access to such material, as the U.K. census returns are not published until 100 years later. Due to the fact that there is a gap in surviving records from 1921 till 1951, this means I will never even get to see either myself or my parents in a census record!
Regardless, I hope the current issues with the 1950 U.S. census will soon be resolved to the satisfaction of many users, some of whom can't find their relatives, at all.

You can still attach the census record to Donald Haley using the "Attach To Tree" button. In the "Notes" section, I would add that the rest of his family is on the previous page. I would also add to one or both parents' record that Donald is on the following page.

HI Maile,
I would love to be able to attach the 1950 census to my uncle, but I can't bring that census page up for him. Even when I change the name & all data to read exactly as the census, that page will not come up. That is why I thought he was probably not indexed because the indexer didn't know how to add him to his family on the previous page. That is why I needed the help. Thank you for helping. It is appreciated. Janice
Just some added info: My uncle, Don was actually a foster child in the family. Grandma Opal raised him from birth when his bio mom abandoned him. His birth name was Donald Alfred Argentiero but his last name would change each time my grandmother Opal married. She married 5 times. I always need to change his name each time to find his records. If anyone can mess up a kid, it's the parents... grins.

You should be able to attach the image to him regardless of the index's correctness.

Can I use an unindexed image as a source in Family Tree?
From Family Tree, how do I open my source box and attach a source to the person?

Hi Maile,
I followed your directions to add thru Source Box. Thank you, it worked beautifully. After doing family research for 47 years, I love learning new things. I'll share with my Family History Center co-workers so we can help others.
Keep Smiling, Janice 😊
