New Person Page - Missing Standardized Places are missing possible choices
I do a lot of work in Sweden where farm names are needed in the place field. On the OLD Person Page when the farm and parish that I need are not on your inhouse listing I can usually find a close match - i.e. just the parish without the farm. My place with the farm stays primary and the choice without the farm is behind the scenes.
- On the NEW Person Page I don't have the same choices. It is giving me a list of other farms with the same name, but in different parishes. It is not giving me the option to have the parish name alone in the background.
- An example is Röd, Skredsvik, Göteborg och Bohus, Sweden. The OLD Person Page allows me to choose Skredsvik, Göteborg och Bohus, Sweden - the parish without the farm. The New Person Page only has other Röd farms in other parishes and does not offer me Skredsvik parish. Because of that, I can't keep my farm and parish in the place field. I've had to switch to the OLD Person Page to keep the place name as it should be. But when the OLD Person Page goes away soon I will not be able to list my places as they should be listed because FT won't allow me to.
- Please fix this problem or just allow Swedish places to be listed as they need to be, even if the place isn't in your database.

This works the way it used to when the first level place name is not in the database at all, but I've run into this kind of problem, or at least similar, and reported it on the New Person Page group. It is still possible to enter the place name as you need it to be but it takes a bit more work
See this short video for how to do this: https://youtu.be/tT6_Yd82wJ4
@lyleblunttoronto1, can you pass this on to the developers that this needs to be tuned up? That is, it needs to be easier to enter a place name which does not exist under the parent to be used when other places with identical spelling do exist under other parent places? It used to be that the parent place would show up on the dropdown menu so it could be used in two steps rather than four or five.

Here is an updated video because I misstated in the first one the ways to correct a place name without changing the standard: https://youtu.be/icVBYUJDHss
You can either click outside the dropdown menu, as shown in the first video or click on the first line of the dropdown menu as demonstrated in the second.

We are evaluating the change. Examples like these really help. Thank you.
