How to start helping a member in the ward I'm serving as a Temple and Family History Consultant. The instructions are very vague! I don't know how to tell the member what he/she needs to do to grant permission. Please make the instructions easier to understand and work with.

I used to be FHTC and the process is fairly straight forward.

    1. Go to: https://www.familysearch.org/help/helper/
    2. Add Someone> Add Someone from Ward or Stake> Send the invitation
    3. When they receive the invitation they need to click the link to accept the invitation.
    4. That puts the person in your Helper Planner where you can access their tree and help...

Some people say the email is hard to understand that there is a link needing them to login to accept your Help invitation (seems fairly straight-forward to me and worked a few times while FHTC).

If you need to find the helper info while in FamilySearch, click on the circle with a question mark by your name and then choose "Helper Resources" at the bottom right of the box that appears.
