How to start helping a member in the ward I'm serving as a Temple and Family History Consultant. The instructions are very vague! I don't know how to tell the member what he/she needs to do to grant permission. Please make the instructions easier to understand and work with.
I used to be FHTC and the process is fairly straight forward.
- Go to: https://www.familysearch.org/help/helper/
- Add Someone> Add Someone from Ward or Stake> Send the invitation
- When they receive the invitation they need to click the link to accept the invitation.
- That puts the person in your Helper Planner where you can access their tree and help...
Some people say the email is hard to understand that there is a link needing them to login to accept your Help invitation (seems fairly straight-forward to me and worked a few times while FHTC).1

If you need to find the helper info while in FamilySearch, click on the circle with a question mark by your name and then choose "Helper Resources" at the bottom right of the box that appears.0
