Issue in Accessing Previously Available Catalog

Hi! Until a few days ago, I had online access to Capivari's (São Paulo, Brazil) Church Records (catalog available through this link: https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/339897?availability=Family%20History%20Library). Now it seems it's only available on microfilm. Is this a bug in the Family Search platform, or has the contract between the record owner and Family Search expired? If it's the latter, what should I do if I would like to access this catalog item? Can I visit the nearest Family Search Library, or is it only available in Salt Lake City?

Thank you very much for your support.

Best,

Sergio

The images for that record set are available in a search.

I searched on a random name, and I am able to see the records, even for recent dates: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:6XSZ-PV36

Thanks so much for looking into this. The record you found does mention Capivari but corresponds to another city called "Martinopolis" (in this case, Capivari is where the mother was born).

The problem is that only a few records are indexed, and I can't look into every picture within the film as I used to. There used to be a "photo camera" icon in place of the "roll" icon in the format column (see below).

When I search within the entire collection, I get some results as you did, but when I click to get more information, I receive the message "We're unable to show this record to you" (see below).

It seems it's either a contract issue or a bug, but I don't know if there's an alternative way of accessing these records.

The wording "This record can only be displayed on certain accounts. FamilySearch must honor the agreements we have with our partners, record owners, and internal policies"

often means that the record is only available to LDS church Members. (Whether it is shown in other circumstances I don't know).

I am not a LDS church member, and I too get the message "This record can only be displayed on certain accounts".

Perhaps there has been a recent change in the agreement between FamilySearch and the Archive which holds the records.

Thank you for your response. Do you know whether there's a way of finding this out (e.g., a Family Search email/phone number I can reach out to ask what the contract status is)?

You could try FHL-SLC-FilmRequests@churchofjesuschrist.org which is mentioned in the Help Center article
