They’re not released until 72 years after. 😡

And, of course, we'll start indexing it as soon as it is released to the public. We tend to get LOTS of volunteers to index a newly release census, so it should be indexed and searchable pretty quickly.

I recently received an email from Family Search about a person that was related to me. When I clicked on the option to view the info the site came up with no information. When I tried to find on the site this person i found several other people with a similar name . One of them was shown as to being on the 1939 Census.

To all of you people out there this no 1939 Census. The information that might be seen is for the 1939 Register which was taken after the outbrake of the war but before any fighting stared. The Register was to find out who might eligible for the armed forces. who was working in reserved jobs, also for Identety cards and for the production of Ration cards so that people could buy there food
