I recently discovered that an ancestor may have been a member of the LDS church. His name is Jacob Streit born 1 Nov 1807 in Winegarten, Germany; died 1885 in Pennsylvania. In 1837 he received a patriarchal blessing in Kirtland, OH but the name is Jacob Strite. Is there are early Church membership database where his name may be found? I tried the JS Papers but there is nothing there. I would like to attach the source to his page. Thank you.

I was trying to find some information and had this useful link sent to me by a moderator here: https://history.churchofjesuschrist.org/training/library/baptism-and-confirmation-information-in-early-records/membership-records It's a pretty comprehensive list of resources.
