missing data that I previously entered
I entered correct and corrected data on my family, specifically my wife, children and direct 1 generation past. This was completed in June 2022, now I just went back to my wife's record to see why there was 2 records listed for her--there was not 2 records in June 2022. On the record I corrected there is data missing and on the other record nothing is correct. It is evident to me someone entered a bogus record on my wife with incorrect data. One thing in particular that I find is extremely upsetting is I am not listed as my wife's husband no husband is listed, birth abd death information specifically are incorrect. I specifically requested notice of any changes to my family records which I did not get. Also, there is no history record on the entries I made in June 2022 to correct the inaccurate information. I don't know if you can appreciate it or not, but I am very tired of having to go back and check my geniology every time I want to begin entering more information. I personally am of the belief that these records are sacred--hence I wanted to be notified of changes. Is it possible that your changes to the program has caused information to be lost? Also, I am of the opinion that something is not broke DON'T FIX IT. It seems everytime you change something with the geniology programs, something gets lost changed or just totally confused like new incorrect records.

Hi @Lawrence Millard Baxter. Welcome to FamilySearch Community.
Any information you enter about any living person is viewable only to you, including linking yourself to deceased individuals. Since you are living, your relationship with your wife can only be seen by you. If someone else created an entry for her, you would not show up.
see https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/what-is-a-private-space-in-family-tree
If you would like to share the PID (found under the individual's name on their page after the death date listed) of any deceased individuals, I would be happy to see if there is any way I can help you. If the information is not accurate on the other person with your wife's name, what other information is there that indicates that it is your wife?
If you would like to give feedback on the new person page, the best place for that is in the group New Person Page.
Maile 🙂

Do you by any chance have two FamilySearch accounts? Or were you working in two different accounts? As @MaileLoveland mentioned, if your wife is living only you can see or edit the information for her for that living profile. If you sign in with a different account (hers or one of your children's), you will see a different living profile for her with a different ID number and none of the edits you made under the other account.
It that is what has happened, you cannot merge two different living IDs that are in two different accounts. You will have to decide which is the account you want to work in and stick to just that one.
Since these are IDs for for wife, you probably do not want to share them here publicly.
You have three other options:
- Click on @MaileLoveland name above in her post and send her a private message with all the ID numbers.
- Go to your local Family History Center and ask for help sorting this out.
- Contact your ward Temple and Family History Consultant and have him or her meet with you to figure out what is going on.
