Verna Jean Beard ID# L28N-4Z1 was entered as DECEASED and she is very much ALIVE as of November 2022. We took her Thanksgiving dinner to her home where she lives alone and is still taking care of herself. She is older but very capable of caring for herself. Please help us get her list in her DETAILS as LIVING.

Thank you

Trena Greer for William Beard her Nephew

Thank you for posting your question in the Community regarding changing a record from deceased to living. We have a process for making this change. It must be completed by someone who knows the individual personally.

Here is a link to an article from our Help Center giving instructions for changing a record in Family Tree from deceased to living.

    https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/how-do-i-change-the-status-from-deceased-to-living-in-family-tree

The following are steps copied from the article.

If you are not the only contributor of the record:

    1. Navigate to the person page of the individual who is living.
    2. Click Details
    3. In the Vitals section, next to the listed death date, select Edit.
    4. In the box that appears, click the circle labeled Living.
    5. Enter how you know the person is still alive.
    6. Click Save.
    7. Enter an explanation for the system administrator to review your request. Please provide this information:
      • Your relationship to the individual needing attention
      • How you know that the person is alive
      • If possible, the living person's current physical address
    8. Click Submit.

A request now goes to FamilySearch Support. A system administrator reviews your request and takes appropriate actions.

    Best wishes.
