Do my thanks really get passed to the volunteer who indexed a record?

I was genuinely grateful to find this record today and thought I would like to show my appreciation, but is it really possible that my "thank you" message could be passed to the original indexer, or is it just added as a statistic somewhere in FamilySearch's records?

Yes, Paul, those messages ARE actually sent to the 'indexer' - at least, I've received a few of them (For what they are worth)

BTW - Many thanks to @Áine Ní Donnghaile who discovered a way for me to be able to add (multiple) images to a post. The idea is not to upload them but paste them in the Comment field - after using the select all and copy functions (of "Paint" in my case). Seems to work every time!

    Glad it's working for you @Paul W .

If I need multiple images to try to explain something, I sometimes combine them, using IrfanView.
