I love family history. Why? The deep connections to my ancestors, and the knowledge that they know what I am providing for them via temple ordinances. They have helped me correct information and details, they are grateful also.It is a passion that brings joy.

I love family history work. The seed was planted by my mother while I was very young. I watched her spread out her many records and keep her extended family records up to date. This included hundreds of hand written pages of names and dates she collected from living family members. She did this out of love and respect for her parents and grandparents. She told me stories about my pioneer ancestors who joined the church and came west with the pioneers to the Salt Lake Valley. I hope to pass this love of family on to my decendants and plant the desire to provide saving ordinances in the temple to those who need this work done for them.

I found my family tree had been thoroughly researched so I started adding family names from New York in the cemeteries, using Findagrave, making sure all with my maiden surname were on Familysearch. I even found a 3 great aunt buried with her family in my city where I live. I find great satisfaction doing this work. I have on numerous occasions, felt the person I'm working on connect to me in the temple as I do their saving ordinances.
