The record hints I am getting are already linked to other people.
This has only recently (a few weeks) been happening. I am guessing that the algorithm has been messed up. Maybe from people refusing to attach hints that they should, because they don't want to attach duplicates, or other reasons. So they are calling things Not a match, when they are in fact correct hints.
For example, today I got a record hint for the 1950 census, when that relative died in 1930.
Hope this can be repaired.

I think I understand. You mentioned 1950 census by mistake. The question is, why is this record being shown as a hint for this other family? The two women are similar in name, age, and place, so the hint is suggesting they are duplicates. This looks reasonable to me. The task is to make the hint go away.
For what it is worth, only rarely do I dismiss a hint. For me, that is a last resort. Here, I see where both profiles can be improved:
- Finish the attachments of the sources on Emma T White's profile.
- Under Other Information: Alternate Names, add the married name of each woman.
- Also improve the profiles of other persons in their households in 1880. For example, add a birth place to William Myers, attach his death record, etc.
- On each profile add the same brief Note, something like this:
Caution: two women with similar name, age, place.
Emma Elizabeth White
2 July 1863 – 5 August 1930
9JLH-WQX
Emma T White
August 1864 – 1906
LT4N-67J
Odds are, once the profiles are a little more detailed, the hint will go away without being dismissed.

Could you share person IDs (PIDs) or screenshots so we can see what you see?

This is my ancestor: Emma Elizabeth White, 2 July 1863 – 5 August 1930, 9JLH-WQX.
This is the rejected record hint: This is obviously not the 1950 census. I was mistaken about that.

This record was shown to you as a 1950 census record hint?
I am looking at the dismissed hint now. It appears exactly as in your screenshot. I am going mark the hint "May be a match" to see if it shows up again as a 1950 census hint. Okay, I did that. Now it is showing up as a hint to me, but the hint says it is an 1880 census record.

Thank you for that wonderful advice. This makes sense to me and I am so glad I asked a question. After some work, I think I may have found out why the hint came to me. I found a possible wrong parental link in my digging around. I am awaiting a response from a message to another user for verification.
