Why am I getting a death date before birth date error when the data doesn't show this
I get this error for this man, my great-uncle
Daniel Jacob Klein GNN7-S9P (for some reason I can't copy the URL)
This is what his record shows-Born 1897, died 1979 so why am I getting this error message and how do I get rid of it?

Thank you.
Actually it was easier than that. I just clicked the drop down for the standardized date by the death and his correct death date showed. Just clicked that and the problem was solved.
Thanks again

Hi Jack Welcome to family search community and posting your questions about birth and death dates. When you look at event dates, there is the date entered and the standardized date. To see the displayed and standardized date, click on edit for the event (i.e. birth). These should normally be the same. The standardized date is what is used within family search. In the case of Daniel Jacob Klein GNN7-S9P, the standardized birth date is 28 February 1897. For the death date, the standardized date is 0026 which is obviously before the birth date. To fix this problem, simply re-enter the death date and chose the correct standardized date. Here is a link to more detailed instructions about standardized dates and places. Hope this helps.
