Escalate to engineers: Merge tool not getting PIDs
I easily hundreds of merges per week. The past 10 days or so, probably every 1 in 2 merges I have tried have had this result. If I try the same merge again and again, eventually the tool is populated with the two PIDs and I can proceed with the merge.

This is happening with Merge by ID on both Old and New Person Pages.

Woohoo. I think someone is paying attention because a "Feedback" tab appeared on the merge tool and I was able to give them a sample of the problem.

Thanks for giving feedback as often our engineers do not know anything is not working cokrrectly until you give feedback and then it can be worked on.

Update: I was able to provide several samples.
If I were a Family Tree operations engineer I would build a dashboard monitoring in real time various key points in the production codes, to watch for signs of task non-completion. Source Linker used but sources not attached. Merge tool used but profiles not merged. Et cetera. Yes, I know Family Tree gets millions of edits per minute. That's not a barrier, that's an opportunity to detect any deviation from normal performance very quickly.
