1950 US Census Record Improvement Project
Several people have expressed an interest in helping to fix errors in the Family Search 1950 Census indexes. I contacted my source about the above-named project to see if they still need volunteers, and also asked if she knew about any additional projects coming up. My comments are in [brackets].
Her reply Nov 15, 2022:
Yes! Anyone who is interested can contact me (you can give them my email) and we will add them to the list. Please be aware, however, that we are finding this project to be a bit more advanced than the original review. Please let those who are interested know that it is an intermediate to advanced level.
[Note: I believe one of the main goals of this software tool was to be able to fix those reported errors that were not fixable by the reviewers (e.g. adding a skipped person).]
As far as other projects like it, I don't know right now of any coming in the future. My focus has been solely 1950, but I would suggest keeping contact on the community boards for projects that may come up.

The initial email I received from her on Oct 31, 2022:
We are excited to share with you that the software tool we will use to complete this project is close to completion. We hope to launch the next phase of the project in the coming weeks. When it's ready, you will be contacted by FamilySearch to let you know that it is time to begin participating. You will be assigned a personal mentor to give you one-on-one help with the project.
[As of Nov 15, I have not been contacted to begin.]
