Adobe Acrobat files are PDF files. There are also other products that will create or convert files to PDF format.

"Unsupported file" means that the file type is not on the list of types of files that can be uploaded. When you upload a file through someone's new memory page or through your gallery, it lists the types of file that are supported, that is, that can be uploaded:
.jpg, .tif, .bmp, .png, .pdf, .mp3, .m4a, and .wav
The first four are image files, then next is a PDF, then last three are audio files. All computer file names end in a three or four letter code, like these, that tell the computer what kind of file it is. For example, Photoshop has their propriety format of .psd files but it can also export into a number of file formats.
Adobe Acrobat, the program, can likely export into a number of different file formats. The equivalent Mac program I use, Preview, can create .heic, .jpg, openEXR, .pdf, .png, and .tiff files. Adobe Acrobat might be able create many others.
So yes, you can use Adobe Acrobat, but you have to be sure the files you save from it have one of the supported file types. The default, as Áine stated is, .pdf so as long as you don't change the file type when saving, you should be fine.

most computers these days have a print to pdf option.
Even if you dont have the full version of Adobe Acrobat on your machine - you can usually save as pdf - just about anything that it printable - simply by choosing the print to pdf option and then you can upload the pdf to FS Memories (if it is under 15 MB)
you can also check out the ILOVEPDF site on line for various great FREE pdf utilities.
