Please post the Project Name and Batch Code [1111-XXX] with your specific questions so someone can help you with your question.

There are some projects that are only viewable by certain groups, so we don't want to presume you are working on a project seen in the public indexing list.

    South Africa, Johannesburg—Cemetery Records, 1840–2019 [Part D][MQM8-SRD]

Can the name of the cemetery be written from the document batch title if it is not written on the document to be indexed?

Geographical names used in project names may not be accurate in historical records. South Africa's cities and countries have gone through some name changes since they were once ruled by the Dutch and English as colonies. Always read the Project Instructions, check the Examples, and look at the Field Helps.

I didn't find much project film available on Wiki to search for project headings. Unless you can find another similar page with a Heading showing Johannesburg Cemetery, do not enter Johannesburg as the cemetery.

    From the Cemetery Field Help:

"If the cemetery name was not recorded or was written as a variation of the word "unknown," press Ctrl+B to mark this field blank."

Johannesburg did have a cemetery named Johannesburg Cemetery, but that has been closed for over a century. What this Johannesburg is likely referring to is Johannesburg City Parks, which is the entity that takes care of the cemeteries within Johannesburg. This is not indexed as the cemetery name.
