Source Description: Church book from Tysvær parish, Tysvær local parish, 1883-1896 (1146P)

This source description from the Norwegian archives reverses the usual order of geographical/administrative levels, so this batch of records is actually for Tysvær local parish (sogn) in Tysvær parish (prestgjeld) in Rogaland, Norway. But since the names are the same, the error is not noticeable in the original event place:

Baptism Place (Original) Tysvær, Tysvær, Rogaland, Norway

This would usually be equivalent to a Places database entry of Tysvær Kyrkje, Tysvær, Rogaland, Norway. But since Tysvær Kirke (Church) is not in the database yet, the place name was incorrectly standardized to the village of Tysværvåg.

The correct standardization should be: Tysvær Kyrkje, Tysvær, Rogaland, Norway.
