Sources disappearing
I have noticed persons who have had s!ources attached that no longer show in the list of sources for that persons, even though the sources have never been detached. For instance there is Augustin Bibeau KH51-RS5 who currently shows just four sources attached, although other sources have been previously attached.
If you go to Augustin Bibeau's son Joseph Bibeau KNYV-LMT and then to Joseph's sources, you will find a source titled "Baptism of Joseph Bibeau ...". That source shows that it is also attached to Augustin Bibeau KH51-RS5 -- but back to the list of Augustin Bibeau KH51-RS5's sources -- the "Baptism of Joseph Bibeau ..." is not among Augustin Bibeau KH51-RS5's sources!
I can fix this one case -- but I can't afford to spend the time fixing all of them. Given the importance of attaching sources, I believe FamilySearch should create and run a utility to find and fix the missing links to sources. Please.

These sources are for historical records that are not yet indexed. So they do not behave like other sources.
What you can do is put sources you find by browsing images into your Source Box. From your Source Box you can attach them to every profile for a person mentioned in the image. And, if some other contributor should detach the source, from your Source Box you can easily reattach it.

You seem to have missed the point of my comment. Yes, the source is still in my source box. It's a good thing I keep these kinds of sources so I can fix this type of problem when they occur.
So here I go again -- the source was attached to the profiles for three different persons. This is a baptismal record. In the Family Tree, I attached the source to the profiles of child and both parents. Their change logs show the source being attached. If I go to the source in my source box and look at the source, it shows as being attached to the three individuals. But if you go to the source list for the father, the source does not show up! There are other missing sources.
So, there is a bug in the Family Tree software -- at some point in time, some sources got disconnected from the father, even though the sources themselves show they are still attached. Do you understand now?
I can fix one of these, but I cannot afford to fix all of them. My guess is that other sources are disappearing from other individuals in the Family Tree. Please fix. Thanks.

The baptism source was attached to the parent-child relationship rather than to the parent.
This is why both the change log and the source detail claim that it's attached, but it doesn't show up on the Sources tab/page. The relationship-source sections are a very well-hidden and rather clunky part of the Tree.

It is helpful to know that you are using the Source Box, @Lee K. Osborne. Many contributors don't use it when it should be used, and since you did not mention it in your initial statement of the problem I needed to probe for it. A contributor's Source Box is not visible to others, so without a full explanation or screenshots, we lack key information.
When we see that a source is linked to somewhere, but don't see where it attaches (which seems to have been why you were confused), it usually helps to follow the link.
What may be a software bug here is the unintentional attachment of sources to relationships rather than to profiles. I see it most often on marriage records, where it may be appropriate. That this is now happening also to baptism records is perplexing. Lee K. Osborne, did you intend to attach the baptisms there? Do you see how you did that?
