Similar Records - but not correct

I'm taking some time to go back through my wife's fan chart and attaching all the hints that have been accumulating. Attaching these and then opening the sources gives even more sources under the Similar Records section. Often these are more correct sources but some are not. For example here:

The top five Similar Records are not for this individual. This sixth one shows as attached to the person it does apply to. The rest I have attached to this person since they are for him.

Is there any way to get those top six source to not display here? I've tried going into the Source Linker and declaring them as not a match, but that does not have any affect. I can't find any thing else to try. Is there a way to do this? Or they stuck there for everyone that comes a long to try to incorrectly attach them?

Hints get computed in batches, not instantly. It looks like enough time has passed now, because I am seeing a clean list. All the similar but unrelated historical records are gone from the Similar Records list.

I still see them. Unless you checked all 91 sources, you may have been looking at the wrong one. Go to: https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/sources/K2V3-5N6 I moved my example above to be the very last source on the page when viewing by custom sorting. It's the source dated 1901 titled "Ole Olsen Høiland in entry for Helle Theodor Dahl, "Norway Church Books, 1815-1930"

The six incorrect "similar records" are still there on the record detail page, too (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:687H-F9QL). Perhaps @dontiknowyou was looking at a different person from the index entry?

I have wished for a way to get rid of such entries, too. They are basically a form of record hint, but one that totally ignores all the work that I put into dismissing the false ones, and they're disconcerting at best. (Infuriating, more often.)

    I still see them.

Okay, I didn't check enough sources. Now I see them on this index record: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:6874-54YK

So, the ultimate solution I would use is to attach all those other historical records to the tree where they belong, and perhaps also write caution notes for both Ole Olsen Høiland profiles. More records may become available in the future, so confusion and potential conflation will continue to be a risk.

So no way to dismiss them. That's to bad.

So no way to dismiss them.

    Apparently not. They are similar.

I don't mind that the Similar Records list remains. I use the list heavily, and I'd rather not give other contributors an additional tool to suppress records. Once I have attached all records in the list I know I can ignore it.
